Aptitude Test: RBE No.34/1987 – Asstt. Programmer

Sub: To accept ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’ Grade candidates (in aptitude test) as qualifying for selection to the post of Asstt. Programmer after introducing revised grading pattern by M/S CMC.

Ref: Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)I/69/PM1/23, dated 26/28.03.1970.

1.     In terms of extant instructions a candidate to be eligible for selection/ promotion to the post of Assistant Programmer (scale Rs.650-960 (RS)/ Rs.2375-3500) should pass the aptitude test in Grade ‘A’ or ‘B’ to be conducted by MIS Computer Maintenance Corporation (CMC).

After introduction of revised grading pattern for selection as Assistant Programmers, candidates securing Grade ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’ in terms of the revised grading pattern will be eligible for selection/ promotion to the post of Assistant Programmers, Ministry of Railways after considering the matter have accepted the revised grading pattern for selection to the post of Assistant Programmers.

2.     Past cases decided otherwise will not be re-opened.
