Sub: Revision of examination fees charged by the Railway Recruitment Board.
1. The matter regarding revision of the examination fees charged by the Railway Recruitment Boards has been under consideration of the Department of Railways.
In (1) E(NG)III/76/RSC/34, dated 13.9.1976, (2) E(NG)III/79/ RSC/51, dated 12.10.1979, (3) E(NG)III/81/RSC/2, dated 13.05.1981, (4) E(NG)II/81/RSC/2, dated 19.06.1981, supersession of the existing orders contained in letters and earlier letters, if any, on the subject, it has been decided that the rate of examination fees in addition to the cost of form chargeable be revised to Rs.10 per candidate for the posts in the lowest scale of Rs.260-400 (RS) and Rs.20 per candidate for all other higher scale posts.
2. No examination fees will be chargeable from the ex-servicemen and SC/ST candidates as per the extant orders contained in letter No.E(NG)II/83 RSC/4, of 15.09.1984 and 85/E(SCT)/25/6, dated 12.09.1985 (RBE No.261/1985) respectively.
3. These orders will be effective for all Employment Notices issued after receipt of this letter.
4. As regards format of the application form, a separate communication will follow. Till that time, the existing formats may continue.
