Sub: Cadre of Technical Supervisors – Direct recruitment of engineering graduates in scale Rs.700-900/ 2000-3200 (RPS).
Attention is invited to Board’s letter No.E(NG)II/84/RC-2/39, dated 24.03.1986 wherein Railway Administrations were advised of Board’s decision that all serving Engineering Graduate employees in railway service irrespective of the length of service put in by them in railways, will be eligible for relaxation of upper age limit upto 45 years for competing in examinations held by Railway Recruitment Boards for direct recruitment in grade Rs.700-900/ 2000-3200 (RPS) in respect of vacancies notified upto December, 1987.
Pursuant to discussion during the PNM meeting held with the NFIR on 28.12.1987, it has been decided that the relaxation of upper age limit upto 45 years for serving Engineering Graduates be extended upto 31.12.1990. Accordingly the instructions contained in Board’s letters No.E(NG)II/84/RC-2/39, dated 20.03.1985 (RBE No.85/1985) and 24.03.1986 permitting as a special case relaxation in upper age limit upto 45 years for serving railway employees who are Engineering Graduates for appearing in recruitment/ examination held by Railway Recruitment Boards for direct recruitment to grade Rs.700-900/ 2000-3200, will continue to be in force in respect of vacancies notified upto 31.12.1990.
